Who Could Have Ever Predicted There Would Be a Bride of Chucky
When Child’s Play 3 ended with Chucky’s remains being found by a garbage collector, fans knew he would be back but no one anticipated the turn of events that happened in Bride of Chucky.
The movie takes a bit more of a humorous approach and brings in big names like John Ritter and Katherine Heigel. The infamous doll housing the soul of Charles Lee Ray is also given a more frightening appearance in Bride of Chucky as he is now covered in scars.

Bride of Chucky introduces Tiffany, who was a former lover of Charles Lee Ray. She murders a police officer to get into the locker where the remains of Chucky are being stored. Tiffany sews his body parts back together and performs the same voodoo ritual that started it all in the first Child’s Play. When Chucky comes alive, he kills a friend of Tiffany’s and she just watches in excitement. There’s already been two murders in Bride of Chucky and the movie’s barely gotten started.
Chucky convinces Tiffany to help him get his soul out of the body by promising to marry her but she knows he is lying so she locks him in a playpen. Chucky escapes and electrocutes her while she’s in the bathtub, transferring her body
to a doll so she can see what it feels like to have her soul trapped.
The next scene in Bride of Chucky turns to a girl named Jade, a 17-year old, very rebellious teenager who cares about nothing else besides being with her boyfriend Jesse. Jade lives with her uncle who happens to be the police chief because her parent’s are dead but the teenagers are planning to run off and get married.
Conveniently, Jesse is Tiffany’s neighbor so she persuades Jesse to drive her and Chucky to the cemetery where Charles Lee Ray was buried to find a body-switching amulet he was wearing when he died. While Jesse gets Jade to go with him, Chucky and Tiffany kill Jesse’s uncle which is probably the best murder scene in Bride of Chucky as they launch nails to his face by setting off an airbag however, he isn’t killed completely until later when he is stabbed in the back.
As they set off on their adventure another cop is killed and Jesse and Jade take their own detour to a chapel to get married and Chucky purposes to Tiffany so she can become the real Bride of Chucky. After a turn of events and fighting between Jesse, Jade, Chucky and Tiffany, it is evident that the dolls plan on using these teenagers to free their souls and become human.
The ritual in Bride of Chucky is done at the graveyard where Jesse and Jade are tied up and there is a famous Bride of Frankenstein line recited. There is a lot of struggle and almost humorous fighting while Jesse and Jade break free. When a private investigator shows up and kills Chucky who had already killed Tiffany, Bride of Chucky sets fans up once again for the next movie.
Jesse and Jade are looking at Tiffany’s body and when they kick her, she comes alive screaming and a baby doll springs out from under her dress because she had gotten pregnant when Chucky and her made love after he proposed. The baby kills the investigator and Bride of Chucky ends, leaving the story open to be continued once again.
